Mediation
Mediation in conflicts and stalled situations. With calm, neutrality and absolute confidentiality.
What it covers
01
Conflict mediation at a high level
High-level conflicts demand an approach that gets parties out of the impasse without loss of face. I mediate in complex disputes where the stakes are high and relationships are under pressure. The approach is always aimed at restoring what threatens to break.
02
Restoring the working relationship
A solution that does not restore the working relationship is no solution. We work not only towards an agreement, but towards a situation in which parties can work together again. That means we also look at what lies beneath the conflict: patterns, assumptions and unspoken expectations.
03
Confidential and neutral
Confidentiality is not optional, it is the foundation. Everything discussed in the mediation stays between the parties and the mediator. I also stand neutral: not taking sides, not passing judgment, but keeping sharp what is at play and what is needed.
04
Workable and lasting agreements
Agreements that sound good on paper but do not work in practice have no value. We ensure agreements that are concrete, testable and bearable for all parties. Agreements that people can stick to, even when emotions have settled.
Approach
Mediation follows a fixed pattern, but the content is always custom.
The steps:
- Introduction with each party separately, in a confidential conversation.
- Joint sessions in which the conflict is put on the table.
- Exploration of interests, needs and what lies beneath the surface.
- Working towards agreements that are workable and lasting.
The mediator does not determine the outcome. The parties do that themselves. The mediator's role is to make the conversation possible, safeguard the structure and ensure nothing stays under the table.
